Tap “Add a stamp” to see what your customer sees at the counter. Sample card: the business is made up.

Your paper cards are working against you.

They get lost, folded, left at home. You don’t know how many are out there, or who comes back every morning. We move your customers’ stamps to their phone. Any bonus is your choice.

Starting settings, adjustable

  • 10 stamps for the reward
  • 2 stamps free at sign-up
  • Reward: a free coffee
  • One stamp per customer per day
  • Messages you can turn on: welcome, second visit, “just one more stamp”, reward waiting

All your team has to say

“Would you like your loyalty card?”

What works well in a café

Ideas we suggest at setup. We turn on only the ones you want.

  • Two rewards

A pastry halfway, a coffee at the end. Customers always see what’s waiting for them next.

  • Double stamps in the afternoon

Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m., for example. The counter shows “Double stamps right now”.

  • Weather that sells

Hot out? An iced coffee promo goes out on its own. Raining? It’s hot chocolate’s turn.

  • The 4 p.m. leftovers

Muffins left over? Your regulars find out before closing.

  • “The usual?”

When they scan the card, your staff sees the customer’s first name and favourite drink. For many customers, being recognized matters more than a discount.

  • The pay-it-forward coffee

A customer can give their reward to a stranger. A kind gesture, recorded at the counter.

About twenty more coffees a month.

Say a coffee costs $6, with a 70% margin. About 22 extra visits a month pay for the subscription. That’s less than one a day.

And a free coffee costs you about $0.50 to $1, not its menu price.

A reward within reach brings people back sooner.

A study measured this in a café, with a 10-stamp card. Close to the reward, customers come back faster: about 20% less time between purchases. And with 2 free stamps at the start, many more cards get completed.

Your questions

My customers are in a rush in the morning. Does it slow the line?
No. The scan takes a few seconds. Customers sign themselves up in ten seconds, while you prepare their order.
I use Square. Do I need to change registers?
No. You keep your Square register and ring up sales just like before. We scan the card at the counter. The link that adds a stamp with every Square payment is ready: it turns on as soon as Square gives us access, with no promised date.
What about customers without an iPhone?
The Google Wallet card is as complete as the Apple one. And there’s a web card for every other phone.
